Andrew Hiser

Andrew Hiser, a graduate of Geneva College with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, is a dedicated and results-oriented leader with over 15 years of experience in a multitude of manufacturing sectors, from well-established corporations to budding startups. Renowned for his expertise in physical chemistry, Andrew has consistently demonstrated his acumen in end-to-end project management, process creation, and training, all aimed at maximizing efficiency, reducing costs, and boosting revenue.

As the Senior Manager of Manufacturing and Production at Goodblend, Pittsburgh, Andrew has been instrumental in commissioning a cutting-edge 7800 sq ft extraction laboratory. Under his leadership, the facility has adopted robust quality, lean, and safety programs, achieving an impressive 2x year-over-year revenue growth. His tenure at goodblend has seen him lead a diverse team of scientists and technicians, manufacturing cannabis products in strict compliance with regulations. Furthermore, he has been at the forefront of new product initiatives and has collaborated with the University of Pittsburgh on a medical research program.

Prior to this, Andrew held significant roles at Holistic Industries and Vesuvius Research. As a Laboratory Manager at Holistic Industries, he managed a team of 20 individuals, spanning various operational functions. At Vesuvius Research, he made notable contributions by doubling the efficiency of sample analysis procedures in line with ASTM guidelines and spearheading customer-focused process improvements.

Outside of his primary professional roles, Andrew has ventured into the entrepreneurial space, co-founding CannaTech Extracts and co-owning Nature’s Finest. He has also been an owner at Monster Innovation, offering specialized consulting services.

Andrew’s commitment to his profession is evident in his involvement with esteemed organizations such as the Society of Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh (SACP), Pittcon, ASTM International Committee D37, and the Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST). He has chaired numerous committees and actively participated in symposia, further showcasing his dedication to the field.

Apart from his professional pursuits, Andrew is also an active community member, volunteering as a Youth Football Coach. His skills extend to leadership, mentoring, team building, and training on compliance, policy, and procedures.
